CME on Climatic Emergencies

Various programmes were held by the Department of Emergency Medicine on the occasion of World Emergency Medicine Day 2024, the theme of which was "Climate Change is a Health Emergency, too". The various programmes held as a week-long celebration included the following:

• CME on "Climatic Emergencies" and EM Quiz on 25th May 2024 at Skills lab conference hall. The session included panel discussion on various topics like Heat Emergencies, Tropical Emergencies and Drowning by subject experts in the domain. The CME was attended by around 200 participants including doctors from varied specialties and Emergency Medicine from Trivandrum, Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts.
• A 2-day hands-on training on Emergency Medicine protocols and advanced life support for nurses  was held on 23rd and 24th May 2024 at Skills lab.
• Poster designing competition, Emergency Medicine Quiz and reels competition on the theme were held for medical and nursing students of Kerala
