Diploma in MEDICAL RECORD TECHNOLOGY

An efficient Department of Medical Records is a prime necessity for the smooth functioning of any hospital. Details of the patients' symptamatology, investigations & treatment is obtained from the records. Analysis of the data obtained will give a clue to the prevalence of the disease in the community, the age, sex, distribution of it, response to various modes of treatment and also how to effect prevention. For ensuring computer efficiency, students are provided with training on computer operation. Common operating systems are also taught. Systematic function in the department enables the students to carry out jobs in different areas like, out patient, inpatient, ICD coding etc.

Eligibility: A pass in pre- Degree or Plus Two preferably in the first attempt. Preference will be given to graduates.
