Department of Dermatology and STDs started functioning from the very day of commissioning the hospital under the able guidance of Mrs.Annamma Mammen who gave her valuable service for 25 years.

Now the department caters to more than nine thousand patients per year,drawn from a very wide area around.

The department at present offers the following facilities in addition to the normal routine out patient and inpatient care.

1. Electrocautery
2. Radio Frequency (surgical procedures)
3. Electrolysis
4. Microdermabrasion
5. Cryotherapy
6. Phototherapy including narrow band UVB
7. Iontophoresis
8. Skin Biopsy
